Heteromeles arbutifolia is a PhotoBotanic Extraction – a plant illustration from nature, isolated from its background to showcase its botanic features.
Heteromeles is a California native shrub known as Toyon or Christmas Berry for its profuse berries that form in late summer. This shrub is growing by the steps of my front porch, photographed June 8, 2015 after a light rain.
