I suppose this tip is “never stop improving”.

Photos I once thought were good can look quite ordinary in hindsight.  I am certainly gratified that my computer skills have improved, but it is a bit mortifying to see images from 10 years ago that no longer look very professional.

I stock photo customer asked to see this photo today, and when I looked at it to deliver a download link, it seemed awfully plain.  Egad !  It needs some contrast, a tweak of highlight control, and a bit more vibrancy –  simply fixes now that I see it.

I hate to think I once thought the first image was my best effort, but we should never stop improving – if only one image at a time.

Maybe one day I will get back and revise all the photos from that shoot.  Maybe. Looking at my backlog of current work I just hope no one notices an old photo looks dull.
