The San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers always has something in bloom.  There is one entire exhibit room full of delights, the Potted Plants Gallery, that always requires a careful look.

In the Gallery at the moment are dozens of orchids in flower, hanging from the ceiling, overflowing the display benches, quietly waiting to be discovered.

The Potted Plants Gallery is curated by Nursery Specialist Janet Spellmann who is always adding or subtracting to the exhibit so it is never the same, though only discerning plant nerds might notice the subtle sleight of hand of plants appearing when they are at their best.

Orchids tend to stay in bloom for months and the Conservatory has a large collection, so there will always be something to see, whether in the Potted Plants Gallery or throughout the other galleries.

This orange Epidendrum beauty is tucked into the Lowland Tropics gallery, hidden in the cloud forest collection.
