I was downright stunned at the recent Garden Writers Association (GWA) conference when my ebook Good Garden Photography received the Gold Award for Best Overall Book published in 2014.

My last book The American Meadow Garden also won the Gold, for best book in 2010, but my part then was only the photography. Timber Press published that book and John Greenlee was the writer.  Now I am self publishing, learning as I go, and must be doing something right.  Feels good.
